A man is being questioned by Eastbourne police after a crash which killed two young people last night (Friday).
Police say the driver of one of the cars involved in the crash in King Edwards Parade fled the scene.
The police helicopter was called in to search for him while emergency services battled to save two people in another vehicle.
They sadly died at the scene.
The accident happened at around 9.30pm close to the junction with South Cliff.
No further details have been released.
