Man in hospital after Eastbourne pub incident

A 49-YEAR-OLD man is in Hurstwood Park Neurological Hospital with head injuries after an incident at an Eastbourne pub.

The man was in the Hurst Arms pub in Willingdon Road at 7.30pm on Friday August 3 when he was seen on the floor. Police say a fall led him to receive a suspected fractured skull.

He was taken to Hurstwood Park hospital where he is under observation.

DC Hugh Charles said, “We know that he suffered a head injury when his head hit the floor but we don’t know what caused him to fall. We are appealing for witnesses to come forward and would like to talk to a man called Lee who was leaving the pub at the time and may have seen what happened.”
