A man was given medical treatment after a house fire in Eastbourne yesterday (Sunday).

Three crews - from Eastbourne and Hailsham fire stations - were called to Oulton Close, Langney at around 3.55pm after reports of a fire.

One person was accounted for and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus searched the property.

A man was given oxygen therapy by firefighters at the scene and an ambulance was requested to attend.
