A motorist had to be cut out of a car following a crash in Langney on Friday afternoon.
Emergency services raced to the scene of the incident in Langney Rise at the junction of Pembury Road after two vehicles collided at 12.30pm.
Both ends of Pembury Road, where it meets Sevenoaks Road and Langney Rise, were closed following the collision, which led to tailbacks in the area.
Police, ambulances and firefighters attended the scene and firefighters cut a motorist from a car.
He was taken to the DGH with minor injuries.
Langney Rise resident Carol James said, “I heard a bang that sounded like a shot.
“I didn’t realise at first there were two cars involved.
“They cut the roof off one of the cars.
“This road is a busy road anyway and they had to re-direct traffic. They were very quick at taking the wreckage away.”
Jean Denyer, of Pembury Road, added, “I looked out the window to see what had happened and it was a hell of a mess up there.”
