Kenny McCreadie is back as boss of Hailsham Town.
The surprise appointment was announced by the club committee yesterday.
McCreadie has been coaching at East Grinstead since being sacked by the Stringers early his year after nearly five turbulent years at the Beaconsfield.
He has been followed in the hot seat by Ross Scamardella, Dave Shearing and in recent weeks Joe Stevens on a caretaker basis.
Club chairman Mervyn Walker said yesterday, "When Kenny left earlier this year it was more by mutual agreement than a sacking.
"We are not worried about the disciplinary side of things; he had calmed down a lot in his last year with us.
"He knows the players and will certainly get them fitter than at present."
McCreadie said, "What has happened in the past is football; I intend to build another great team. We are out of all the cups, but my aim is to strengthen the team and climb the table.'
