Louise seeks young stars

FORMER Doctor Who and EastEnders star Louise Jameson is looking for aspiring young Eastbourne actors to perform in her second Shakespeare course this summer.

The actress who played companion Leela in Doctor Who and Rosa di Marco in EastEnders will direct you in The Great Shakespearean Beauty Contest, a devised piece about Shakespeare's heroines.

Featuring music, comedy and just a little pathos, it's a dynamic, entertaining introduction to the works of our most famous playwright.

Louise said, "During my time with the Royal Shakespeare Company, working on projects like this gave me an excellent grounding as a performer.

"It also enabled me to take roles in popular drama on television. I'm looking forward to coming to Eastbourne again to work with ambitious young actors."

The course runs between July 26 and August 1 at the Under Ground Theatre, with a performance on the Saturday night.

The course is open to all aged between 14 and 21.
