There are a number of events taking place in the Eastbourne area during the October half-term.
The National Trust takes on spooky flavour, with a host of ghoulish goings on for children and adults alike.
Alfriston Clergy House has a pumpkin prowl daily until Sunday November 1 (excluding Thursday and Friday), 10.30am-4.30pm
This is a fun event for children and the young at heart searching for pumpkins hidden around the garden Normal admission charges apply, trail £1.50 per trail.
Birling Gap, near Eastbourne, is famous for its smuggling past. A Hallowe’en story trail takes place there on Friday October 30, 3pm-5pm
Follow a trail to discover the stories of the smugglers who have left behind clues to spooky goings on that they have seen. Suitable for all the family

Birling Gap is also running Hallowe’en trails daily until Sunday November 1, from 10am-4pm
Search out the pumpkins that are hiding in the visitor centre and discover more about the ghosts and beasties that reside at Birling Gap. The event is free. For more information on the activities at National Trust properties visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk.
