TWO EASTBOURNE women have completed their first London Marathon.

Jeannine Williamson, raised £1,500 for The Brooke Hospital for Animals and schoolteacher Sarah Wilkes, raised more than £3,500 for the Clic Sargent charity.

Sarah, a teacher at St Andrew’s School in Seaside, completed the course in seven hours and money raised will go to the charity which cares for children and young people with cancer and their families.

Jeannine won a ballot place in the event and completed the course in 4hrs 32min.

All the money raised will go to the charity that helps working equines in some of the world’s poorest countries.
