The winter vomiting bug has now closed two wards at the DGH.
Seaford 1 Ward (MAU) is closed to new admissions as it has confirmed cases and Cuckmere Ward is closed to new admissions as it has suspected cases. Two further wards also have a bay closed.
A DGH spokesperson said, “We are experiencing an increasing prevalence of norovirus both in the hospital and community which is not uncommon at this time of year. If you experience symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting and feel unwell with gastrointestinal symptoms – don’t help pass them on.
“Stay at home and drink plenty of water. More importantly please DO NOT visit friends or relatives in hospital until you are free of symptoms for at least 48 hours.”
