Two arrests made over car crime in Eastbourne

Two people have been arrested after items were stolen from a series of vehicles in Eastbourne.

A number of vehicles were targeted in the Ringwood Road area of the town between 2am and 3.30am yesterday (Wednesday January 15) and items including sat navs were taken. The vehicles were not damaged.

A 32-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, both from Eastbourne, were arrested on suspicion of theft and questioned before being released on bail until February 10.

PC Claire Underwood said, “If you saw or heard anything suspicious in the area in the early hours of Wednesday morning please call us.

“We need to speak to as many people as possible who know something about what happened.”
