Eastbourne is this week set to be hotter than parts of Europe – and its sunshine rival Jersey.
Temperatures are forecast to top 25 degrees tomorrow (Wednesday, May 23) which is considerably warmer than parts of Spain.
Rain is predicted for French capital Paris, while neither New York, Madrid or Ibiza are likely to leave Eastbourne in the shade.
And long-term sunshine rival Jersey is expecting clouds and highs of just 17 degrees tomorrow – leaving it seven degrees and a lot of sunlight behind Eastbourne.
Shanklin on the Isle of Wight, which earlier this year revealed sunshine stats which put it ahead of both Eastbourne and Jersey, is also set for a good week, with 24 degrees tomorrow, albeit with plenty of cloud.
Nearby Hastings, which has also trumpeted its sunshine league topping credentials, has been told to expect rain tomorrow and again on Sunday.
And, while the weekend forecast for Eastbourne is not quite as impressive as the middle of the week, both Saturday and Sunday should stay dry and sunny, with an average of around 17 degrees.
Enjoy it while it lasts however. The MET Office is predicting rain on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
