An Eastbourne street dance group is celebrating after members of the team secured themselves a place in the final of a major competition.

The Street Styles 4 All (SS4A) has been seen performing in the town’s streets, at the Winter Garden, weddings and other events since winning the Young Achievers Award in the ‘Art, Culture and Music’ in April 2012.

SS4A’s elite dancers, known as The Demo Squad, have also secured themselves a place in the final in the UDO World Street Dance Championships which will take place in Glasgow SECC Arena this August and will be the ninth annual event of its kind.

Numerous medals and trophies were won including first place in the pairs, first place solos, second-place solos, first-place solos, sixth-place solos, second-place solos, third-place solos and fourth-place solos in various age categories.

The championships in August runs from August 22 - 24. It will be hosting a variety of competitions and workshops throughout the weekend including solos, duos, teams and crew battles and of course the hip-hop battle finals.

The Demo Squad team will be showing off its talents in the town centre (near the Body Shop) on various dates this year including March 29, April 5, June 7 and June 21 between 2.15pm and 3.15pm, weather permitting.
