A man accused of robbery at Nisa in Green Street, Old Town, last Friday has been remanded in custody by the courts.
Gavin Johnson, 30, was arrested shortly after a man and a woman went into the store with a knife and demanded cash.
He will remain in prison until his case comes up at the crown court at Lewes.
