Three men are set to complete a sponsored sky dive to raise money for St Wilfrid’s Hospice in memory of an ‘outgoing’ and ‘brave’ father.
Douglas Forbes passed away last December from a brain tumour and now his son and two friends are raising funds to say thank you to the hospice who gave Douglas and his family so much support during his final months.
Robert Forbes, Charlie Mitchell and George Kyprian will be jumping from a plane on June 4 and have already received a generous £500 donation from a single sponsor named Mark Oky.
George said, “Douglas was a very outgoing person, brave and courageous and would never back down from a challenge, so me, his son and another close friend have decided to do a sky dive in his memory.
“We are hoping to raise funds for St Wilfrid’s hospice as a gesture to say thanks for all the support and help they gave us and his family over Douglas’s last few months.”
The boys have set themselves a target of £500 to raise through other donations to match what’s already been generously given by Mark.
