Police seek witnesses to '˜aggressive drink driving' through Eastbourne and Polegate

Police are hunting witnesses who may have seen a car being driven '˜aggressively' through Eastbourne and up to East Dean on Monday evening (February 8).

The car, an L-reg grey Honda Civic, was reported to have been driven in an ‘anti-social and aggressive’ manner from the Cross Levels and Kings Drive area of Eastbourne, through Willingdon and Polegate, before being found by police parked outside the Tiger Inn at East Dean.

A 25-year old Eastbourne man found in the car was arrested on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol and with threatening behaviour towards another driver in Polegate.

After being interviewed he was released on police bail until March 9 while enquiries continue.
