Police search for missing 72-year-old Eastbourne man

Police are currently searching for a missing Eastbourne resident who is described as ‘vulnerable’.

Geoffrey Emmett, 72, of Royal Parade, was last seen at home today (Monday) at 7.30am.

At that time he was wearing grey-blue pyjamas and slippers and had gone into the kitchen to make a cup of tea.

But he left home without saying anything and may now be wearing a black fleece jacket and trousers. He had no money or mobile phone with him.

He is described as white, 5’ 11”, of medium build, with grey/white short hair.

Mr Emmett has recently been showing signs of anxiety and depression. He had been due to attend a doctor’s appointment this morning but failed to keep it.
