Sussex Police is appealing for any victims of a burglary during August 2013 to see if they can be reunited with some of their stolen items.

Officers have a large haul of items that were seized during ongoing investigations but which have not yet been able to be linked to crimes. Among the items are watches, necklaces and earrings and bracelets, as well as other items of jewellery, electrical equipment, toys and bags.

Detectives believe some of the items could have been taken in thefts or burglaries across Sussex and are hoping victims could spot their possessions so they can get them back - and so that officers can prove they had been stolen.

Detective Constable Alex Chaszczewski said, “We have been able to show that some of these items were stolen but there are many more that we cannot be certain about yet.

“If you had items stolen in or before August, have a look on the recovered property section of the force website to see if we have some of your valuables. It could mean you get your possessions back and we get evidence that could help us prosecute those who took the items from you.”

Visit property.sussex.police.uk to see if any of the items belong to you. If you think they do, click on “enquire” and send your details to an officer to contact you.
