Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was bitten by a dog on the Cuckoo Trail.
The 44-year-old was cycyling on the trail near Hampden Park on Monday February 3 at around 6.30pm when he passed two dogs, not on leads, who were held back by the owners.
After he had passed, one of the dogs then ran after him and bit him on his calf. He needed hospital treatment for the injury.
There were two people with the dogs. One was described as a white man, wearing a grey and white hooded top and the other person was said to be a white woman, wearing a pink or red hooded top.
PC Carly Owen said, “We are appealing for details of two people in charge of the dogs at the time to make contact with the police. The dogs are described as Rottweiler or Doberman size dogs.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call 101 quoting serial 1271 of 3/2. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
