Police are appealing for help finding a man who exposed himself to a teenage girl in Eastbourne.

The 17-year-old victim was walking on the seafront close to Holywell between 10.40am and 11am on Thursday (March 13) when the man indecently exposed himself to her and then began following her.

The man was white, 6’ 2” and of average build. He was clean shaven, had short dark brown messy hair and was wearing a black baseball cap backwards with the word DOPE written on it, a black rain jacket and black trousers. He was carrying a black rectangular sports bag.

He was later seen in beige chequered swimming shorts on a thick framed black mountain bike.

PC Louis Morley said, “The victim has been left very upset by what happened and we need to track down the man involved.

“I want to speak to anyone who was on the seafront on Thursday and saw either the incident or a man that fits the description of the offender. Please contact me if you know anything at all.”

Anyone with information should call 101 quoting serial 1231 of 13/3, email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
