Morris dancing, live music and a parade will all form part of the fun as Eastbourne Lammas Festival gets underway next weekend (July 26/27).
The annual event, now in its 13th year, will include carnival giants, children’s entertainment and people have the chance to dress up and take part in Saturday’s Carnival Parade. The fun will unfold at 10am on the Saturday with Morris Dancing at Bankers’ Corner in Terminus Road and at 10.45am outside Debenhams. The procession gets underway at around midday and Eastbourne Giants Herne and Andred will once again lead dancers, drummers and festival-goers in performances at the pier before making their way along the promenade and returning to the main festival site at the Western Lawns.
If people would like to join the parade they must come along to the pier entrance at midday. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
