Pensioner suffers head injuries after being hit by a car in Seaford

An 81-year-old pedestrian has suffered head injuries after being hit by a car.

The pensioner, from Seaford, was struck by a green Vauxhall Astra which was turning left into Church Street from Clinton Place at 11am on Tuesday (January 14).

He was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The 20-year-old woman driving the Vauxhall was not hurt.

PC Matt Harman said, “I need to speak to anyone who saw the crash happen or either the Vauxhall or the pedestrian in the moments before the collision.

“If you saw or heard anything please contact us, no matter how small the piece of information you might have is.”
