Mountain bikes stolen in Eastbourne

Police are appealing for information after three mountain bikes were stolen in the Seaside area of Eastbourne in the space of four days.

A distinctive white Shogun Nodachi valued at £500 with red Chinese writing on the frame was stolen between 6.30am on Friday January 24 and 6pm on Monday January 27. It had been chained to the blue beach railings on the seafront in Royal Parade near the York House Hotel.

A metallic grey mountain bike, of unknown Chinese make, was stolen from Willowfield Road on Sunday January 26. It had been secured by a u-shaped lock to a metal hook on the front wall to the house.

Between 5pm on Sunday January 26 and 12.30pm on Monday January 27 a blue crossbar mountain bike that had been chained to a lampost on the corner of Latimer Road and Cambridge Road and was stolen.

PCSO Dan Bienvenu said, “If anyone saw what happened or has any information please contact police on 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serials 1420 of 27/01. You can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
