Amy Ross, 27, covered the gruelling 26.2-mile course in 4 hours 40 minutes, raising £1,800 for the leading charity in the UK for girls and young women.

The money raised through the race will help Girlguiding ensure all girls can get involved with their communities, grow in confidence, reach their full potential and enjoy the fun and adventure of guiding.

Amy, who is a Leader with Eastbourne Division Rangers, said, “Words cannot express the pride I felt when I crossed the line on Sunday. I felt both exhilarated and exhausted. I’ve been a member of Girlguiding for most of my life and I’m in no doubt that it’s shaped the person I am today. Girlguiding has provided me with great experiences and amazing lifelong friends.”
