James Dunham

James Dunham

An Eastbourne man has been on the run for a year after absconding from Crown Court moments after pleading guilty to having intentionally caused or incited a girl aged 14 to engage in sexual activity. James Dunham admitted the crime, which took place in Heathfield in January 2012, back in January 2013 at Hove Crown Court. He was given bail by the court to remain in the court building to discuss the case with his solicitor but then absconded and has not been found since. Dunham, a landscape gardener whose last known address was in Albert Parade, is described as white, 5’ 10”, of medium build, with green eyes and short brown hair. A Sussex Police spokesman said, “Dunham is not believed to present a physical risk to the general public but anyone who knows where he is asked to contact us right away. Anyone who sees Dunham, or knows where he may be, is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk. You can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
