A man’s body was discovered on the Cuckoo Trail at Polegate on Monday afternoon.
Police and emergency services were at the scene and the area cordoned off for several hours.
Pupils from nearby schools who would use the stretch of the Cuckoo Trail to walk home were told to find an alternative route.
Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious.

“The body, thought to be that of a man in his 30s, was found by a member of the public around 2.20pm, not far from the A27 Polegate bypass.
