South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, (SECAmb), is inviting people to learn more about their local ambulance service at its Annual Members’ Meeting (AMM) and exhibition.

The event takes place on Thursday September 25 and is being held at The Orchards Events Venue in East Malling, Kent (formerly East Malling Conference Centre).

Members of the public are invited to register to attend the event which will include a range of stalls highlighting the many areas of SECAmb’s work. The exhibition opens at 12.30pm with a light lunch served at 1pm. The AMM will begin at 2pm.

Those attending will have the chance to meet and speak to the Trust’s staff and Governors, and to learn more about health and wellbeing with a series of displays from various health-related charities and voluntary organisations.

The AMM will hear from SECAmb Chief Executive Paul Sutton and other members of the Trust Board and Council of Governors. People will also have the opportunity to ask questions. “We really hope people take this opportunity to find out more about how their local ambulance service works.,” SECAmb Chief Executive Paul Sutton said.

“The ambulance service has experienced huge change in recent years and SECAmb is at the forefront of this innovation and clinical development.

“Our staff are working in extremely demanding environments every day and we hope this event will help illustrate the challenges they face as well as explain how we are working to ensure we continue to meet the needs of the diverse communities we serve.”

Those wishing to attend should register online at www.surveymonkey.com/s/AMM_2014 or telephone 01273 484821 or SMS 07770 728250 (please leave your name, postcode, telephone number and the names of additional attendees) – upon doing this, please assume we have received your registration.
