Eastbourne’s Bible By The Beach teaching event welcomed nearly 1000 delegates to the Sussex resort’s Congress Theatre over the Bank Holiday Weekend.
Dr Liam Goligher, a senior minister in Philadelphia, led three Bible readings and other main meeting speakers included Ian Coffey, Paul Gardner and Andrew Wilson.
Organisers say action-packed children’s and youth ministries, meant there was something for all ages to enjoy and there were more children present than ever before. The conference’s seaside location also allowed visitors to make the most of the sunny weather.
MP for Enfield Southgate David Burrowes gave a seminar on The Secret Diary of a Christian MP where he encouraged Christians to be more politically engaged. Other seminars covered medical ethics, parenting and the doctrine of man. Andy Fenton from Music Ministry led worship in the main sessions and Lou Fellingham gave a special one-off concert on Saturday evening.
Organiser Wallace Benn said the event was founded after noting how delegates would travel many miles to other church events.
Next year’s event is from May 1-4 and themed The Mission of God: To the ends of the earth.
