The first phase of the Devonshire West Big Local £1 million plan will be on display at a drop-in community meeting on Thursday August 7.
Residents will be able to view the proposals, ask questions and offer feedback while enjoying a free cup of tea and slice of cake.
The Lottery award was announced in December 2012 and since then there have been 10 consultation events, monthly meetings and the election of a resident-led board.
Plan chair Jane Dubery said, “After 18 months of discussion, asking opinions, counting and drafting, we are almost ready to submit the plan to the Local Trust, which can then start releasing the money to the area.
“It is really important local people are at the heart of the planning, this project is all about our community making things happen ourselves.”
The community meeting will be at St Augustine’s Hall by Christ Church on Seaside on Thursday 6pm-8.30pm with a brief presentation on the hour every hour, screenings of film made by local schoolchildren about what they would like to see the money spent on in the area and board members will explain how the plan developed and what will happen next. There is also a display in a pop up shop next to the Royal Hippodrome on Wednesdays.
