The festive festival will feature a live compere and a wide range of entertainment for all the family including special performances from the Jazz Caverners, South of Saturn and the Kingfisher Marching Band.

There will also be Father Christmas and his sleigh in the High Street, courtesy of Hailsham Rotary Club and Asda, who have assisted by providing the gifts for the children.

Organised by Hailsham Town Council, Hailsham Forward and the Hailsham and District Chamber of Commerce the extravaganza is set to bring energy and a festive atmosphere to the town centre, guaranteeing fun for all the family.

Town Mayor Jo Bentley, urged residents to: “start the festive season with a really enjoyable Christmas shopping visit to the town centre and stock up on Christmas presents and decorations, while enjoying plenty of festive cheer including great food and drink and entertainment on the day.

“This year’s town Christmas event will have something for everyone and will give people an opportunity to experience the hustle-bustle and enjoyment festive events in Hailsham are renowned for.

“The lively programme includes a wide range of entertainment and activities which we hope will enthuse residents and visitors alike, whilst supporting local businesses during the festive period.”

“The town council has worked hard in recent months to make the necessary preparations for the Christmas Extravaganza and is grateful to all project partners for their unflagging support.”
