The popular Harveys’ horse-drawn dray will be returning to the streets of Eastbourne this week. It will visit pubs within the town on Thursday starting at the Arlington Arms in Seaside at 11.30am and call at the Royal Naval Old Comrades Club, the Victoria Hotel, Eastbourne Working Men’s Club, the Marine, Eastbourne Pier, the RAFA Club, Bibendum, the Dolphin and finish at the Lamb in Old Town. A Harvey’s spokesperson said, “From the reaction the dray has received in Lewes and Brighton, we are expecting the horses to be very popular.”

Horse-drawn drays were traditionally used to deliver goods from breweries to local hostelries in years gone by.
