Craig Wells raised £1,000 to help people with Multiple Sclerosis by staging a 24-hour Tennisathon. Helped by a relay of partners, Craig started his mammoth game at 7am on the courts in Gildredge Park and as the light faded Craig and team transferred to Eastbourne Sports Park to continue the marathon through the night, finishing exhausted at 7am the following morning. Craig, from Hailsham, said, “It was an amazing, slightly crazy, challenge, but honestly worth all the effort and fatigue. It was a great atmosphere and was unbelievable to have so many people join me on the challenge.”
The Eastbourne branch of the MS Society branch will share the proceeds of Craig’s efforts with the MS national centre.
