Eastbourne Orchestral Society spring concert at hall

The Eastbourne Orchestral Society will be holding their Spring Concert at Eastbourne Town Hall on Tuesday March 25.

The concert will include Mozart’s ‘Paris’ Symphony, Dvorak’s Slavonic Dances, Schubert’s Overture ‘Rosamunde’, and Bruch’s Romance for Viola.

This will be the Eastbourne Concert Orchestra’s first concert with the second of their new Associate Conductors, Simon Gower.

Simon trained in conducting at Lancaster University, he plays the cello and piano, currently teaches music at Willingdon Community School.

Bruch’s Romance for Viola will be performed by Simon Smith, the orchestra’s leader.

Simon is a strings teacher for East Sussex Music Service and trained at the University of Hull and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

The concert starts at 7.45. Tickets for the concert are priced at £10 and can be purchased on the door (under 16s are free).

Interval refreshments are provided.
