Drivers warned over A23 closure overnight

Drivers are advised that the northbound A23 between the Bolney and Pease Pottage junctions in West Sussex will be closed overnight for two nights from tonight (Tuesday), between 8pm and 6am each night.

The work, which began last night, is part of a major upgrade currently under way on the A23 between Handcross and Warninglid, and involves changing the road layout through the roadworks ahead of the work progressing to a new phase.

A fully signed diversion route will be in place directing drivers between the two junctions via the A272, the A24 Horsham bypass and the A264 to junction 11 of the M23.

Drivers are advised to allow some extra time for their journeys if they plan to travel while the closure is in place, and to drive with extra care through the roadworks, especially while they adjust to the revised road layout.
