Eastbourne Borough Council has been asked to prepare a business case to unlock the £2million grant pledged to the town by Prime Minister David Cameron.
The document needs to be submitted as soon as possible, outlining arrangements to ensure fair and transparent distribution of the money to support the town’s tourism economy in the aftermath of the fire at the pier.
Councillors at tonight’s Cabinet meeting are due to discuss the business case.
Tomorrow’s pier update will provide information about decisions made at the meeting.
