A 23-year-old suffered a cut, bruising and swelling to his upper lip and a broken tooth in an attack outside the Corn Exchange in Hailsham.

The victim, who lives in Hailsham, was leaving the venue when he was attacked in an alleyway outside, some time between 2.30am and 3.10am on Saturday March 1.

PC Helen Kelly said, “Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call 101 quoting serial 0216 of 1/3. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
