A choir is needed to take part in a twinning exchange trip to France after the group which planned to go had to drop out.
The trip is to Hailsham’s twin town Gournay en Bray in September this year and it will be a chance for a local English choir to sing in the town’s church.
Unfortunately the choir arranged to take up this opportunity has now had to drop out and organisers of the exchange trip have found themselves without a choir.
Twinning association chairman Keith Townsend said, “The mayor of Gournay en Bray is keen to invite a local English choir as previously a French choir visited Hailsham last year.
“There will be time for sightseeing the local area and travel will be by coach. The costs for this will be shared between travellers.
Choir members can be hosted by our French friends or can arrange their own accommodation
“It is a privilege for a choir to be invited by the mayor of Gournay and it will be a interesting and rewarding weekend.
“The church in Gournay has much history and there are so many local sights to see as well.”
