Eastbourne mayor Mike Thompson attended a charity night in aid of the Tuesday O’Hara Fund at Zizzi ristorante in Bolton Road.
Local business people from the town were treated to a three-course meal, free of charge from Zizzi, but instead they gave what they thought the meal was worth to Tuesday O’Hara fund.
Marie Ingram organised some young muscians from Eastbourne area, some of them studying music at Sussex Downs. They entertained the 100 people throughout the night whilst magician Kris Singh amazed tables with his magic.
Sue O’Hara said, “It was a great evening with superb food and service with a lovely atmosphere, and the place looks lovely since its re-furbishment.
“Everyone enjoyed themseves and said they would go back.
“It was a great concept for Zizzi to donate the food to us and, with thanks to Luis the manager, the evening raised £1,400 for Tuesday’s Fund, where all the money goes to help young adults battling cancer/leukaemia.”
