Regulars from the British Queen in Willingdon took a dip in the sea on Easter Monday to raise cash for the Eastbourne Community First Ambulance Responders.

The group from the pub normally take part in an annual dip in the sea on New Year’s Day, but because of the rainy and windy start to 2014 they decided to put it off until now.

More than 10 plucky swimmers took the plunge to raise money for the charity, which sees its members respond to emergency calls in the town and provide medical attention until ambulance services arrive at the scene. The group of swimmers are currently collecting sponsorship money and will hand the cash over to the charity in the coming weeks.
