BREAKING NEWS: Pevensey crash victim named as Hailsham woman

A woman motorist who died following a crash in Pevensey on Tuesday (March 4) morning has been named as Catherine MacFadyen from Hailsham.

The 58-year-old, of Boreham Street, was driving a Mini when it was in collision with a coach in Wartling Road.

The collision happened at 7.35am and Ms MacFayden died of her injuries at the scene. The coach driver, a 43-year-old man from Eastbourne, was injured and taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. No-one else was involved in the collision.

Sergeant Paul Wood said, “We are appealing for witnesses to the collision which involved a blue Mini and a white single decker coach.

“We would also like to thank the local community for their patience while the road was closed and scene investigations carried out.”
