The repainting of the Beachy Head Lighthouse was completed this week.

Specialists from Sussex Blast Cleaning in Hailsham put the finishing touches to the red and white hoops on the iconic building on Wednesday.

The work marked the end of a two-year campaign by the Keep the Stripes group, the Eastbourne Herald and Eastbourne Rotary AM to raise £27,000 for the lighthouse to be repainted. See page 45 for more photos.
