Offering an NHS-covered alternative to going to the local hospital for a vast range of specialist diagnostic tests, procedures and consultations, it has welcomed more than 25,000 patients over the past decade.

With clinics in Eastbourne, on South Cliff Road, and Peacehaven ESOPS has helped relieve pressure on local hospitals and reduce waiting times for many procedures.

Dr Joerg Bruuns of ESOPS said, “Many local residents still don’t know that we are here. Even more importantly, people need to know that they have a choice when being referred to see a consultant. Under the NHS constitution, if patients need to see a specialist they can chose who to see and where - and ESOPS is one of these choices.”
