Tony and Heather Flood are topping the charts

Authors Heather Flood and Liz Wright soared to number one in their respective categories in the Amazon top 100 books list last week.

The members of the Anderida Writers Group of Eastbourne were joined by Heather’s husband Tony who reached number two in his category.

This was achieved after MyVoice Publishing launched a five-day promotion, but they were in competition with hundreds of free ebook offers.

Heather established herself as the firm favourite, writing for children about mice, hamsters and guinea pigs, with Mousey Mousey and the Witches’ Revenge staying firmly at number 1, while Liz’s latest book Who’s A Chatty Boy, Then topped the birds category.

And Tony Flood’s My Life With The Stars - Best, Ali and the Panties climbed to number two in the section for biographies by journalists as well as reaching number three in the category arts and photography.

Eastbourne’s Neil Kirby and Paul James were number one in the best sellers list for business with Celebrity Hotel, while former Eastbourne resident Brigitte Sumner’s Give Him Back His Balls was number one in personal transformation and number two for relationships.

Another top ten placing was achieved by Twists in the Tales: 16 intriguing short stories by local writers Francis Wait, Brian Jones, Christine Dudley, Heather and Tony Flood, Elizabeth Gibbs, Val Tinney, Barbara Fisher and Ernie Richardson. All are members of Alice Croft House Over 50s writing group.

Heather added, “These successes prove what great writing talent there is in Eastbourne.”

Although the free e-version offer is now over, but the books are still available from Amazon Books on special offers.
