Who would you vote for if Eastbourne was going to the polls today?

Unlike nearby Hastings and other parts of Sussex, people here in Eastbourne are not being asked to go to the ballot boxes today.

The town, which has both a Liberal Democrat dominated council and an MP, is not at the stage where it will re-elect some of its councillors.

However, with issues like the much maligned granny tax, spiralling student tuition fees and an increasingly sparse high street, there is no doubt the people of Eastbourne would have some difficult decision making to go through if they were voting today.

So, for a bit of fun and to spark some debate, the Herald wants to know who you would vote for today.

Please vote in our online poll (found on the right hand side of this page) and leave any comments about the reasons behind your decision below.

The results and best comments will be featured in next week’s paper.
