Tributes pour in for Seaford man found dead
RESIDENTS in the Seaford community are continuing to pay tribute to a Seaford waiter who was found dead in his flat last month.
Ahmed Remon Hayder, who worked at the Moon of India in Sutton Park Road, was found dead in the flat he lived in with his parents and two brothers and police are treating the incident as murder.
Since his death dozens of floral tributes were left outside the restaurant and Seaford Town Council opened a book of condolence in his memory.
More than a hundred people have left messages in the book with touching tributes including 'he was a charming man' and 'you will be missed so much'.
The book will be at the council offices at 37 Church Street until the end of the month.
Ahmed, known as Ray to friends, was found dead in his Seaford home on February 1 after blood was seen dripping through the ceiling into an architect's office below.
The 27-year-old was running the family-owned restaurant, which is situated next to the architect's shop, while his parents and brother were away.
Mohammed Anhar, of East London, has been charged with the murder of his cousin Ahmed Remon Hayder.
The 33-year-old, who has also been charged with aggravated burglary, appeared at Lewes Crown Court for an initial hearing.
Shahadat Mollah Sohag, 20, of no fixed address, has also been charged with Mr Hayder's murder and aggravated burglary and appeared at Lewes Crown Court on February 16.
No plea was indicated at either hearing and both defendants have been remanded in custody.
A plea and case management hearing will take place on April 15.
