Trial jury visits Hailsham murder scene

Bramble Drive Darren Croxton murder

The jury in the Darren Croxton murder trial this week visited the scene of the fight and the spot where Mr Croxton lay dying in Hailsham.

The seven women and five men were earlier told how Mr Croxton was stabbed in the leg during an altercation in woods at The Diplocks, but managed to climb a fence into Bramble Drive before asking a passer by for help and an ambulance was called to the scene.

He was rushed to the Royal Sussex County Hospital on the afternoon of Sunday January 22 for surgery but died of his injuries the following morning.

Mr Croxton, a father of one, suffered haemorrhaging and a cardiac arrest after being stabbed in the leg.
