Treats are on festival menu

HAILSHAM Community College is to play host to this year's Active Communities Festival on Saturday June 27, between 10am and 2pm.

Funded by Sport England and supported by Wealden District Council, the festival aims to promote Hailsham's local community organisations and give the town a taster of activities they may not have tried before.

HCC is inviting local organisations to offer activities on the day while local businesses can donate prizes or entering teams for the corporate football competition.

Among the treats on offer at the festival are a mobile climbing wall, police dog handling show, mobile skate park and face painting.

All of the activities are free and will be run and supervised by the town's experienced clubs and organisations, and numerous competitions will be running throughout the day.
