Town gains a Polish PCSO

EASTBOURNE Police has a new recruit, Polish PCSO Katarzyna Rudnicka.

She joins the force after a recruitment campaign earlier this year to attract police community support officers who speak Polish.

Police say they will be directed where they are most needed and will provide the uniform visibility necessary to make Eastbourne an even safer place to be.

Sergeant Julian Williams, who is responsible for neighbourhood policing in Eastbourne, said "I welcome Katarzyna to my team. First and foremost she is a police community support officer who will be responsible for helping all the communities within Eastbourne.

"She is being based in the town centre and will be invaluable with communicating with our Polish community. We also have liaison officers for many other minority communities, cultures and faiths across Eastbourne.

"If anyone wants to be put in touch with a liaison officer or their local PCSO they should visit us at www.sussex.police.uk and follow the links for find your local officer or phone us on 0845 60 70 999."
