Teacher appears in court of child abduction

EASTBOURNE teacher Jeremy Forrest has been remanded in custody by magistrates charged with abducting a teenage girl.

The 30-year-old from Chislehurst Road, Petts Wood in south-east London appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court yesterday by videolink. He spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.

No bail application was made, as Forrest was remanded in custody to appear again at the same court via videolink on December 3.
