Stand by for festive fun night

SEAFORD'S Late Night Extravaganza takes place on Friday.

Residents and visitors to the town can snap up Christmas gifts as many retailers stay open late.

The event kicks off at 5.45pm and fun activities continue until 9.30pm.

Santa will arrive at the Christmas tree at the war memorial in Avondale Road, and evening will include Christmas carols, fairground attractions and the famous family slide.

Many local charities, youth groups and organisations will have their own side stalls, selling produce and gifts.

Between 6pm and 8pm St Leonard's Church will be open for Soup 'n' Wrap and shoppers can call in for a rest and a chance to unwind. Free hot soup will be available as well as a free gift-wrapping service and festive music.

Seaford Chamber of Commerce will feature its ever popular tombola, with prizes donated by many local businesses.

In the High Street, Kiddies Kingdom will offer rides for younger visitors and there will be a Big Wheel in the car park behind the Talland Parade shops.
