Seriously injured girl, 14, released from hospital

A TEENAGE girl seriously injured in a crash near ASDA last month has been allowed home. The 14-year-old girl, a pedestrian, was involved in a collision a car on Pevensey Bay Road on Wednesday, August 23.

She was rushed to hospital by the Sussex Air Ambulance and was critically ill in Kings College Hospital in London for several days.

The road was closed for several hours as police investigated. The driver of the Corsa, a 19-year-old woman from St Leonard’s, was uninjured.

Police said this week the 14-year-old girl was treated in hospital for internal bleeding and a head injury and had been released from hospital.
